They say…

Located at the apex of Wade Lane and Merrion Street, Fairuz Lebanese Restaurant is an asset to the Northern Quarter of Leeds city centre. It is hidden on the lower ground floor of the large office block known as Fairfax House, and though it may not be the easiest restaurant to find, it is certainly worth the search.

Fairuz, which translates as ‘precious stone’ in Arabic, is a modest and unassuming restaurant that offers diners a slice of the Middle East in the middle of Leeds. The interior combines the old and the rustic with the modern and the exotic, emphasising natural elements that create a warm and cosy setting.

Offering the very best of Lebanese cuisine, Fairuz prides itself on cooking dishes that are both inexpensive and plentiful. Every dish packs a flavourful punch, combining traditional flavours and rich spices from the Mediterranean and the Middle East. With a tasty array of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes, the restaurant has something for every diner. The Mixed Grill with fillet of lamb, chicken and Kofta, grilled a special seasoning, a side salad and the chef’s special sauce, comes highly recommended, as does the Fish Tajeen with slow cooked salmon, vegetables, herbs and couscous. For those wanting the true Lebanese experience, the Chef’s Meze is a must-try, with a select choice of starters and main courses. Or there is also the option to choose your own dishes with the restaurant’s Special Meze.

Fairuz can happily cater for parties and functions, and has menus to suit those with vegan, vegetarian and other dietary requirements. The enthused staff are highly skilled in creating the perfect event, and, in keeping with Lebanese tradition, the venue has been known to run a belly-dancing night or two.

If it’s a hassle-free atmosphere you want, along with a number of beautifully unique dishes to enjoy at your leisure, Fairuz Lebanese Restaurant Leeds is the place for you.
